KALKA Air-Defence Early-Warning Systems

Out of the integration of a UAV Detector and a very high capacity 360-Degree Anti-Drone System – both developed by Ulusal Savunma – the fully automatic KALKA Air-Defence Early-Warning System emerges. This system, which detects drones (mini UAV) within range automatically and prevents attacks, is capable of running autonomously, thus ensuring uninterrupted protection, especially in such facilities as military bases where the number of personnel may be limited. KALKA stands out with its effective range of up to 3 km, depending on geographical conditions.

The UAV Detector system acts as a sensor, detecting RF communications between drones and their control centre.

With its logging capability, the UAV Detector can store the data of all drones detected during its deployment for later review. As such, incidents occurring in the region when no operator is present on site monitoring the system can be analysed at a later time. It is also possible to collect data about reconnaissance activities carried out with drones.

KALKA is offered in two versions: static and mobile. The static version of KALKA is preferred especially for the protection of static structures, such as facilities. This system, which operates on a 220–240 volt mains voltage, runs 24/7 without interruption.
